What continues to hold my focus
is the space where a person's story
intersects with relationships, family,
and culture.

While I've lived in Pittsburgh for over 20 years, I'm first and foremost from Michigan, where I earned my bachelor's degree in social work before moving here in 2005.

When I first arrived in Pittsburgh, I owned and operated a coffee shop with friends on the North Side. Even then, I found myself drawn into deep conversation with customers. So much so that I eventually decided to return to school for therapy, earning my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seton Hill University in 2012.

Since then, I have practiced as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in community-based settings, domestic violence services, and various LGBTQ+ spaces. I have also taught multicultural competency at Seton Hill and remain actively involved with both the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the Western Pennsylvania Family Center, where I serve as faculty and on its board.

In addition to my clinical practice, I regularly speak at conferences, offer tailored workshops, and continue teaching on topics related to systems thinking and family dynamics.

Outside of therapy, I tend to stay active, be it through boxing, lifting, dancing, karaoke, or simply enjoying music. Having grown up around creativity, these activities help keep me grounded and remind me that expression comes in many forms.
